Email storage is a wonderful tool, but keeping a clean and lean box is paramount to making things run smoothly.

There are ways to save email without bogging down your hosted account. By making use of these systems you will avoid sluggish response times and difficulty finding mail later.

1. Use GMail to read your hosted mail

One of the quickest ways to keep a clean inbox is to use your GMail to view your hosted mail. GMail will grab it and store it for you there. YES you can read the mail and reply to it using a profile that uses your domain. No one knows it's GMail but you! If you would like to do this just ask us.. we can set it up for you.

2. Always clear your SpamBin, Trash and Sent mail > and delete Inbox mail you don't need

If you are reluctant to clear your sent items make use of the rule of thumb. Sort it by date, then select and remove anything 6 months old or more.

3. Use the default set of Local Folders on your PC

That box you see called Data is local, mail there is right on your computer. "Click and Drag" any mail you want access to quickly right at your computer. This removes it from the server. See the panel below for the How To. Ideal for mail that has large attachments.
